2009 enjoyed a successful run of events, with a variety of occasions hosted throughout the year. We look forward to another successful year in 2010.

Hotel Clybaun  Dance Tuition - Winter 2010
There are a variety of dance classes available throughout the week offering tuition to those at beginner and intermediate levels. So if you want to rumba to Zumba, step up to Ceili or glide to Ballroom, there's a class for you. Check out the Dine & Dance accommodation packages also.  

December Table Quiz - December 2009
The Hotel Clybaun were delighted to host a Table Quiz Thursday December 10th 2009, in aid of the Poor Clares renovation fund.  40 tables of 4 completed 10 rounds of questions. There were 4 grand prizes for the top 4 teams;  As well as top quiz prizes, there were plenty of spot prizes. The quiz kicked off at 9PM. Galway Bay Step Dance Festival - November 2009
There was another fantastic weekend of Dance and Craic in November for those attending the Galway Bay Step-Dancing Festival. Everyone had great fun ceili dancing to Live bands playing traditional music; this coupled with morning Yoga sessions and Late Night 'seisuins' ensured everyone thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.


The Egyptian Dance Show - October 2009
Galway Bellydance performed in the Ellon Suite in October . There were dance displays from dancers throughout  Ireland and the UK. There was also a star performance from Dance Master Shafeek Ibrahim. The performances was followed by an arabic disco. A great night was had by all.



The iBuy Wedding Experience - October 2009
Hotel Clybaun  partnered with iBuy Weddings and hosted a very successful  , ' Wedding Experience' , event in October. Five live bands and a variety of Dance displays ensured it was a fantastic fun filled day for all the family. Preferred wedding suppliers, additional events and information advised prospective bridal couples on how best to budget, prepare and enjoy their wedding day.

The Niall Mellon Township Trust - September 2009
Hotel Clybaun were delighted to support the Niall Mellon Fundraising Night, in September 2009.The evening included a  Live Band & Disco.  This event was held to raise funds for the Niall Mellon Township Trust (Est 2002)which provides homes to the impoverished communities in the townships of South Africa.


The AAI charity event in aid of Make a Wish Foundation - August 2009
Hotel Clybaun were proud to sponsor and host the Annual Across Ireland charity event again in August 2009,  in aid Make a Wish foundation.

Refurbishment Project - Latest Updates - December 2009

Hotel Clybaun are delighted to announce refurbishment of the Bar , Bistro, Coffee Dock and Restaurant has now been completed. We hope all our patrons enjoy and appreciate the 'new look' Hotel Clybaun .....

The Ellon Suite now boasts the largest dancefloor in the West (75' x 25')! This new professional dancefloor is very suitable for dancing competitions, displays or  festivals.

There was a strict No-Smoking policy enforced in all guest rooms as of October 2009. Smoking is now restricted to specific outdoor areas.

Refurbishment of all Guest Rooms has commenced and will be completed by end first QTR 2010.

There are further plans for upgrades to the Ellon Banqueting Suite...stay tuned...
