Hotel Clybaun are delighted to announce refurbishment of the Bar, Bistro, Coffee Dock and Restaurant has now been completed. We hope all our patrons enjoy and appreciate the 'new look' Hotel Clybaun

The Ellon Suite now boasts the largest dance floor in the West (75' x 25')! This new professional dance floor is ideally suited to dancing competitions, dance displays or festivals.

The Hotel / Guest Rooms operate under a strict no smoking policy. Smoking is now restricted to specific outdoor areas.

Refurbishment of all Guest Rooms has commenced and will be completed by end 2012.

There are plans for further upgrades to the Ellon Banqueting Suite...stay tuned...

Hotel Clybaun  Dance Tuition - Winter 2011
There are a variety of dance classes available throughout the week offering tuition to those at beginner and intermediate levels. So if you want to rumba to Zumba, step up to Ceili or glide to Ballroom, there's a class for you. Contact 091 588088 for further details.
 

2010 Events Calendar

December
Everyone enjoyed the opportunity for Christmas Shopping at the Hotel Clybaun Indoor Market held in December. The variety of goods for sale include cosmetics, clothing and home goods.
A Girlie evening of Glitz and Glamour took place Saturday December 4th. There was discounted shopping in fashion and beauty available on the night as well as entertainment.
 

November
The Galway Bay Set Dancing weekend competitions took place in November. A fun weekend of music and dance was enjoyed by all.

October
The Hotel provided the setting for mock accident scenes worthy of a Hollywood Audience as it played host to the annual Irish Red Cross Novice and Cadet Competitions in October. Skilled in first aid the Irish Red Cross Youth members, some as young as 10 years old, professionally and courageously treated fractures, burns and even horrifically realistic eye injuries – the result of a (simulated) aerosol can explosion. Irish Red Cross youth members taking part in the weekend’s competitions are trained to deal with many types of injuries, trauma and in high pressure situations and had been training intensively in the lead up to the weekend’s challenges.
The weekend proved to be a resounding success. The delegates enjoyed a sumptuous banquet that included a prize giving ceremony. With the competitions taking place in Galway for the first time in over 20 years Mayor Crowe looked on proudly as three trophies were presented to Galway’s contenders.
 

October also enjoyed a weekend of Dancing and Music with Pat Hayes and his bands. Bands included Larry Cunningham and Cathy Durkin. A fantastic Bank Holiday weekend was enjoyed by all!

The Winter months were popular months for dance lessons for those wishing to re-energize after the festive break!
The Galway Power Network started successful Monthly Business meetings which are currently held on the last Friday of every month
The Hotel was used, by Irish TV Channels, as 'scenic background' for a number of TV dramas and documentaries
County Galway VEC launched a new training initiative, and the Hotel Clybaun hosted the International Grundtvig Conference
The Irish association of Physical Therapists held their AGM
The Hotel launched the new civil ceremony wedding program which was very well received
Hotel Clybaun hosted a variety of sporting teams for many inter-college events
The first International Hockey Event was held in association with NUIG
The Hotel proved to be a popular venue for local Communion, Confirmation and Christening family events.
Galway Belly Dance held another fun night of dance
Shantalla Residents association enjoyed a fun night of Dinner, Music and Dance.
